Valerio Scimemi is an Italian-qualified attorney (Avvocato, Foro di Palermo) with the qualification to plead before the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation (Cassazionista, since 2015) and over 25 years of practice across substantive commercial, corporate and industrial law, banking and financial law, intellectual property, shipping, aviation and airport management.
He has an active practice before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg, with a 100% admissibility rate on all applications filed. His post-graduate education includes an Executive Master in Administration, Finance & Control (AFC) from SDA Bocconi and a Master in International Contracts from Il Sole 24 Ore Business School.
His international practice spans Italy, Hong Kong, Mainland China, the Russian Federation, the UAE, South America and South Korea. He regularly serves as board member, general counsel and export manager for industrial and commercial companies, with particular depth in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, extraordinary corporate transactions, complex international negotiations and financial analysis.
He is the founder of Scimemi Law Firm (est. 2003, offices in Milan, Palermo and Florence) and Ascofirm Group (Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Milan, Modena). He currently serves as Legal Manager at Oldham, Li & Nie (OLN), a leading Hong Kong law firm, and holds a PRC work permit for Mainland China.
